Yugam Radio & Councillor Jamaal Myers Celebrates Tamil Heritage Month

On January 17, 2026, Yugam Radio and Television, in collaboration with Councillor Jamaal Myers, proudly hosted a Tamil Heritage Month Celebration at the Frontline Community Centre in Scarborough. The event brought together community members, artists, and local leaders to honor and celebrate the rich history, traditions, and contributions of the Tamil Canadian community.

The evening was filled with vibrant cultural performances, inspiring speeches, and meaningful interactions that highlighted the importance of preserving Tamil heritage for future generations. Families and youth from across the Greater Toronto Area gathered to take part in the festivities, creating an atmosphere of unity and pride.

Councillor Jamaal Myers addressed attendees and emphasized the value of multiculturalism and the significant role the Tamil community plays in the social and cultural fabric of Toronto.
